Walking in the Ardennes

The valley regions of the Namur Ardennes are a true paradise for walkers. The area is renowned for its exceptionally extensive network of walking routes: in total, there are some 1,500 kilometres of signposted trails waiting to be explored. Anyone who loves getting out into nature will find plenty to enjoy here. Dense forests, a rich variety of flora and a wealth of wildlife make every walk special.

During the autumn hunting season, certain forest areas may be temporarily closed or have restricted access. It is therefore advisable to check with the local tourist office in advance. There you can consult the current calendar and plan your walk properly. We also always display the hunting calendar on the fridge in the holiday home.

Walking maps are available from the tourist office in Vresse or at the newsagent’s.

Tip: Good walking shoes are no luxury.
