Cycling in the Ardennes

If you want to explore the province of Namur in an active way, cycling is the best option. On these rides, you can fully enjoy the sweeping panoramic views and the beautiful surroundings of the Semois. There are around twenty marked cycle routes in the region, ranging in length from 11 to 66 kilometres. For experienced mountain bikers, there is also a challenging 122-kilometre route that passes through Bièvre, Gedinne and Vresse, amongst other places.

Along the way, follow the official, standardised signage. You can recognise this by an equilateral triangle with two circles underneath, representing the wheels of a mountain bike. The point of the triangle indicates the direction you should follow. The colour of the symbol — red, yellow, green, blue or black — refers to the specific route. If several routes share the same colour, you can distinguish them by the number or an additional symbol on the signs.
